[Track] The field recording was done at an estuary on the outskirts of the city. It is not far from my home. The title “Misago” is the Japanese name of a bird called Osprey. I saw this bird at an early morning bird-watching meeting. I attended this meeting with my son. The chairman of the group was very skilled at finding birds. He found many kinds of birds and showed us with his scope. Even though my son had offered to participate in the meeting, he looked at the birds with an expression that may or may not have been interested. He told me later that it was very exciting. It was early in the morning, so the air was very cold and a little hazy, creating a fantastic atmosphere. The bird-loving participants were very kind to me. The time that was flowing peacefully at this time became my inspiration. credits Free to use for a movie, Soundtrack. All tracks recorded, mixed, mastered by Betts(JP). Betts(JP) is an electronic sound artist from Okayama, Japan. He is a multi-instrumentalist who mainly plays live instruments such as guitar, but also uses various instruments. He uses field recordings in his works and edits them on the computer. The performance is done with very little equipment, just a guitar and a microphone connected to two delay loopers, and the electronic droning is processed by computer in real time. Starting with his second release, “Misago,” the strict limit of five songs per piece, each 9 minutes and 58 seconds long, has given him more freedom and a wider range of expression. Releases |
